then those illegal alien “children” dont count because they’re mostly overage rapists and murderers..
Baskin Robbins once a year would give a free scoop of ice cream away at the location next to my old office. People would stand in line for at least an hour for their free scoop....
Idiots...
"I say old chap, gibs me dat."
Surprisingly vicious for cute and cuddly, with only rudimentary weaponry. ;)
The story sounds wild and about greedy kids, but at the same time, it’s good to know this many parents care about their kids that much. This is a lesson for marketers; sometimes it only take a simple idea, like the classic teddy bear to make a child happy. A real, three-D Teddy, not a video Avatar, not even a Holograph. Just a Teddy Bear, made of cloth, cotton and buttons.
They closed the lines to anyone arriving after about 11am EDT. At that time the wait was rumored to be six hours. A friend of ours braved it and her daughter got the bear she wanted, but mom has vowed never again. She heard one woman was there with twelve kids.
I never congregate where large groups of people line up for “free” or reduced stuff. It rarely ends well. I’m reminded of the food riots in “Soylent Green”.
They take EBT cards?
A Bad Idea?
That would be to charge Adults admission in Disneyland, based on the bodyweight of that adult. I don’t expect to ever see that experiment conducted, at least not without armed guards to protect the Ticketmaster. Some adults could deal with it, especially many men. “If you’re fat, and you know it, clap your hands!”
I saw “build a bare” and thought it was about Stormy.
On my McDonalds APP I can get a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder with Cheese for $1. Add the $1 Large Drink and it’s a steal.
Not sure if it’s worth going out for though. If I was driving by, it would be a different story.
Destiny, USA in Syracuse was a madhouse this afternoon.
Brilliant plan! Million bucks worth of PR for the price of a few bears.
How much for a 2 month old kid? 2/12 of a dollar? (17 cents)
OH! Their child’s age! I thought it was the customers. Couldn’t see much in the way of a bargain if a mom was in her 30’s-40’s.(And are teen 20’s babymamas gonna pay that much for a toy?) The line in the mall here went from one anchor store to the other and no one was happy. Why not just lower prices to something reasonable for a stuffed toy ? I mean what can you add to a stuffed animal to make it worth $50??
The line was shut down 90 minutes after the build a bear at the mall near me opened. I’ve never been to a build a bear and I hope I never have to go to one.
I saw a story about this on my local news this morning. Just plain weird. I feel sorry for the kids who have mothers who get involved in this insanity.
Okay, the child's age.
At first it sounded like this was a scheme to rip off grandma and grandpa when they came to the store.
For £89 or £92 that bear ought to be able to talk and do simple calculations in its head.
From the news clips I saw on KDKA, there was no relation to “chaos.” Long lines, yes...but no “chaos.”
Now, “Black Friday” sales.........
