Happy Bastille Day!!! The revolution was right and proper. It went off the rails into mass murder we all know, but there was nothing wrong with knocking off the king and the entities that put him over the people.
If someone stands up and says God has placed me above you to rule over over you, and that person isn’t Jesus himself, you have a natural right to violent self defense.

CW II here would resemble the French Revolution.

And it never would have went down if Louis XVI wasn't such a twit.

the investigation of methods of burning large numbers of people in large ovens, so their fat could be rendered down efficiently.
Not sure this was an realistic scheme. For the simple reason the vast majority of the people even in peace time didn't get enough calories to warren collection.
However nowadays, one could meet the energy needs of a small nation of the fat of most America.

Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, I spent a memorable July evening shooting off Bastille Day fireworks with a French model. That was one very happy summer.
There really is -something- or should I say, a certain je ne sais quoi about French women. I almost needed a 12 step program. That woman had a hold on me. I’m over it now though. I never even think about it, never.
Freaking Bastille day. I’ll just have some Wild Turkey 101 and move on. That is, I would if i missed her. And you can see, I don’t miss her at all. Nope... not a bit.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn, who pointed out that the mass murders of Christians in Russia were directly inspired by those in the Vendée. Who edits this?

The French Revolution was somewhat justified but it turned into pretty much the definition of evil.
One thing which surprised me when I really began reading about it, was just how organized the revolutionaries were.

A very informative article.
Unfortunately it may remind today’s progressives of their roots and rekindle thoughts of reviving their past ideas of “Reform”.
