I've been wanting a .357 rifle for some time, and a single dealer had exactly what I wanted at the gun show over the weekend. Got him to knock off tax and the credit card fee, and it was a done deal.
Now to order sling swivels and a sling, and schedule some range time!
Would pair nicely with my Python. Willing to trade 2 jugs of home made wine (blackberry) and one cat for it.
Tell you what: Ill give you 4 boxes of store bought, a cat and a dog for the Python (Colt Python).
Nice!
Good for you.
Enjoy.
Suweet! Was considering one, then a 1980 Marlin .357 lever showed on consignment at a local gunsmith shop. Bit pricey ($600)... but it didn’t matter, no way was I gonna let it escape! :) Love it... bit of a pain to load (side port), but shoots like a dream! I ain’t no sharpshooter, but I can hit milk jugs at 100 yards (iron sights)... after ‘bout the third shot. ;)
Would love to see the ballistics results of the .357 Magnum out of that sweet, sweet rifle.......love the flair in the lever that has hints of “The Rifleman”.......
I got one of their catalogs in the mail a few days ago.
The photography is beautiful. Wish I could afford one of them.
Mate it with a Ruger Blackhawk in the same caliber and it would be a nice woods combination. Actually I think I would mate it with a light weight .22 with at least a 4 inch barrel.
I’m jealous and green with envy. Very nice piece.
Beautiful! Mine shoots .44 magnum with a brass receiver.
I have a Big Boy Classic chambered in .357mag, brass receiver, 8 round tube load. Cost $700 about 6-7yrs ago; now it’s $945.
Goes nicely w/ my 1975 Colt Trooper Mk III in .357mag.
Enjoy your new toy; they’re fun to shoot.
Sad to find the ballistics don’t equal that of the old 30-30 that I love in my Marlin.......not exactly a powerful round itself......but then, it is a pistol cartridge......

I know someone who has a Marlin lever gun in .41 Magnum. I think it dates back to the late 80s or early 90s.
Contacted Mr Tony Imperato through his website recently. Told him how much I liked his products. My only complaint I have is the magazine loading method. The Kings Improvement receiver mounted load port has been around since 1873. Time to upgrade to the cowboy era, Tony.
Is it a fully automatic with a high magazine clip?
Awesome...I bought one just like it last Fall and I love it. Put a Vortex venom red dot on it and killed three does using Federal Swift 180g bullets...one shot per deer...ranges about 50-80 yards. It is so light and handy and certainly has enough punch for woods white tails.
Of course! It’s a Class 5 FA with a 100 round drum.
Sweet.
That’s Damn Purdy!
Henry does make some fine guns. You will also find their customer service is second to none.
