Anyone here get a shingles vaccine and any complaints from it?

Glad it's worked for you. It helps a lot of people.

I've also read it helps to avoid high arginine foods during an outbreak of cold sores. Maybe this is true for shingles outbreaks as well?

I have had shingles for years. But will use a metal roof on my mobile home the next time.

I should've expounded on that claim a bit, as I wasn't looking for sympathetic credibility--I was treated by medicines that underwent similar testing as vaccines. It will take a lot more data and science to convince me that vaccines are bad. Do some people have bad reactions to them? Sure. Are the reactions statistically significant, and cause to avoid vaccines altogether? Not to me.

Just got my first Shingrix this afternoon. Didn’t hurt. Now arm a little sore. The shot is given in the muscle instead of under the skin. That’s probably why you get sorer.

Update: Arm still a little sore, but getting better. Didn’t take anything for it, just massaged it. Otherwise feel fine.

Mine was sore for about 3 days, but nothing distracting.

It was one of the vaccines with the longest lingering soreness I’ve had, although the soreness was relatively minor. Looking for the 2nd one in about 2 months.
