Speaking of er, entertainment bars, in the mid 1980's I lived on the east side of Detroit on a street named Greensboro, just off of Houston-Whittier. At the end of my street, there was a gentlemen's club named the Pointe Athletic Club. Now in the several times I just happened to frequent this fine establishment, I never saw parallel bars, balance beams, or pommel horses, so the only athletes I ever saw were the young, scantily-clad girls who were working their way through college to be aeronautical engineers or pediatric neurosurgeons. I can just see it now, the guy is getting ready to go ot for the night and his wife asks where he is going. He says in a totally innocent voice:" Well honey, tonight I'm going to the Athletic Club" And she says:" Well, have a good workout!"
