Basketball legend Michael Jordan voiced his support for LeBron James on Saturday after President Donald Trump posted a critical tweet regarding the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
According to Geoff Bennett of NBC News, Jordan released a statement through a spokesperson that read, "I support LJ. He's doing an amazing job for his community."
On Friday night, Trump questioned James' intelligence and suggested he preferred Jordan:
@realDonaldTrump LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isnt easy to do. I like Mike!
Jordan was the latest in a long line of current and former NBA players to rush to LeBron's defense.

Why is Trump being blamed for the "divide" in sports? BLM and the anthem kneeling both started when Obama was President. And if Obama was such a great uniter, why was this happening when he was President?
yeah we get it, homeys got other homeys back..
MJ is big gambler and I am sure gambled quite a bit at trumps casinos in Atlantic City.. Pretty sure there is a lot of video on MJ at trumps casinos of things he did while gambling, especially with waitresses which he doesn’t want to get out.
So much for selling shoes to Republicans.
I didn’t like Trump’s specific tweet (which is rare for me). I just think Trump could have made his point a better way.
Jordan didn’t go full Colin Powell.
They’re all piling on now that Trump threw out Brother Barry’s Legacy ,LOL
Trump should have been more cautious. “I like Jerry” as in West or “I Like Larry” (as in Bird)......The brothas always stick together.
If hed stop the run at the mouth no one could peg anything on him. Or wonder how he has the time to do it.
I was in the local grocery store yesterday when two guys who work there were talking NFL football. Both had their backs to me, so I got down on one knee and said to them “Say...are you guys talking football?”
The blank smiles were priceless.
LJ started it - now everybody whines...
LOL I support LJ is considered “Ripping” someone..I have no issue with him supporting LeBron, he really had no choice, if he had come out and said “I support both of them” he would have been called an Uncle Tom for the rest of his life
Its those horrible no good fake news jerketts again!
They KNOW BLM started this divide.....
....when Trump fights back, he gets blamed!
That is the biggest reason why they hate Trump..they dont hate Trump because he is Donald Trump, remember, these same people who bash him now, a few years ago adored him..they hate him now because in a short while, he has ripped Obama’s legacy to SHREDS, it no longer exists..these people thought that after 8 years of Obama, we were ready for a Communist America, we elected President Trump, which pisses them off, their Commie agenda FAILED, it will never happen now, or if it does happen, it will take them another 30 yrs to try to enact
Translated: Lebron misses having brother BHO in office. Having a black brother as President gave him a sense of power he doesn’t have under President Trump.
MJ, not wanting to insult either one, simply praises his fellow hoops shooter without denigrating Trump.
MJ was always one of the smartest pro ball players on or off the court/field. I can’t remember him allowing himself to get dragged into a racial shooting match. Not saying it didn’t happen but I don’t remember one.
Hah, you watched that Scott Adams video didn’t you?
Yes I did. I enjoyed his telling of meeting Trump.
Why? Because thats what Dems do, they blame their opposition of what theyre doing.
Meanwhile....dumb idiot fans everywhere continue to pay inflated ticket prices to see idiots put a ball in a basket.
