I've noticed that in the past the Post sometimes has a special cover page. I assume the purpose is simply to keep the real front and back pages clean and protected. Anyway, today's edition has that special cover page with nothing more on it than a logo for some trendy (new?) fashion company called "Supreme".
Although I hadn't heard of them until today, they apparently are so wildly popular that these otherwise standard editions of the paper are selling for $7-20 bucks, at least online. Because there are plenty still at the newstands selling at the usual $1, although I suspect that as more and more people learn about this, they'd start disappearing too.
I bought a few copies myself, and now am trying to figure out how I can best profit off it. Seems clear that the people looking for these papers will be outside of NYC, as, again, there are lots still at the local newstands.
Is it just me, or has anyone else not seen a more meaningless thread here?
You profit by selling it on eBay, today for $3.
Two or three days from now it will be cage lining.
Im supremely confused.
Not meaningless if you live in New York City. Hopefully some NYC
freepers will take advantage of this and make a nice little profit like I’m trying to do.
Same here.
I am too. But if some dopes want to buy a $1 newspaper for $20, I don't really give a squat as to why.
Like most of us here, I don't live in NYC, so I don't understand the meaning of this. Why is this significant?
This thread pretty much retires the trophy.
“...has been supportive of President Donald Trump...”
WRONG.
Good. I've always enjoyed their music. Oh, wait. It's 'Supreme' and not 'Supremes'. Never mind.
Maybe its a “Q” thing?
“Supreme”, which I only first heard about today, is apparently a hugely popular fashion company. Seems their name on damn near anything is as good as gold with some fools, probably millinenials, so-called “Hipsters”, and/or the Hip Hop crowd. All I’m concerned with is how to turn that $1 investment into $20 for each of the papers that I bought.
They left off the ending “s”. The music group was “The Supremes”.

This post is meaningless without context -
As others have ask, what is this about and why should I care?
It may very well be (culturally) important, so I will withhold judgement, but without any context to understand the post...I just don’t know.
Like most of us here, I don't live in NYC, so I don't understand the meaning of this. Why is this significant?
It's only potentially significant if you live in NYC, and could use some extra cash. Otherwise, it's another example of our increasingly loony tunes modern culture.
So ... is this just a creative way for the NY Post to get more advertising money?
What is Supreme? Why does it matter so much to the writer?
I’m just sharing a money making opportunity with freepers who have access to the NY Post newspaper. Anyone else could simply laugh or shake their head at the absurdity of buying a $1 newspaper for $20 bucks. I just now saw it going for $25 at one site.
