Don't know about NYC, but in Chiraq the Fireman have to take a real PT test and need to be in good condition, coppers, not so much. When push goes to shoves, the coppers tend to give way to the Firemen.

Right, BJ/HillCo?

Someone grabbed his head and started pounding it into the pavement, one said. That wasn't considered a risk to life when Trayvon Martin did it to George Zimmerman.

Yet two months after the June 6 melee, no one has been arrested or fired. In an internal order, the department has since identified six participants in addition to Soler. All were suspended for one month but are now back on the payroll.

Reminds me of one situation a few years ago in a NYC firehouse, one guy kept bullying another fire fighter until the other guy had enough and picked up a chair and bashed the guys skull into mush, I think they were drinking too.

The 35 y/o who was targeted should sue the others, and the department (for not firing them) like there’s no tomorrow.

If it was me, and I didn’t think I’d done something to deserve it, two months later there wouldn’t be any need to arrest or fire anyone.

Firehouses are territorial in NYC to the point they nearly kill each other over comments? Just another problem in a city made of problems. And why aren’t those thugs in jail that carried out the beating?
To: DUMBGRUNT
I guess that’s why (besides the increase in pay) that the firemen must be trained as paramedics.... they can take care of their own!!!!
