Kind of late for a swarm. Ive been trying to catch one all summer.
That's what I was thinking. I caught a swarm in my backyard this Spring. It all looked good, then the next morning they packed up and left en masse. Haven't seen them since. Pretty sure that they were my own bees.
If they are honey bees, it’s suicide to swarm this time of year. They will never produce enough to get through the winter.
I am guessing it’s not a real swarm. My other guess is they are not honey bees. Most city people would not know the difference.
