Among the more attention-grabbing findings: More than one in four people have deleted the Facebook app from their phones, a figure that gets a lot higher when you focus just on 18- to 29-year-olds (44 percent of whom say they’ve done so). All told, 74 percent of Facebook users, according to the Pew data, say they’ve taken one of the following actions in the past year.

Although the article mentions Republicans....

I'd shift it this way.

No Conservative should be using Facebook. Even to keep in touch with friends and family. Use something else.

If you keep supporting it, why do you complain?

I am hoping my mid-December puts on Facebook come through.
In the same frame of mind as playing the nickel slots.

Well, my impression of all this social network crap has always been that of the millennials and their wretched iPhag phones.

Facebook app is the only app that works in the Philippines where you can keep in contact with people without them having to have data.

You need data in order to operate your email.

although I don’t know the arrangement, but anybody with a smart phone can access Facebook without needing data. They can’t do that with email. Not unless you are going to go to a data café or pay for an internet connection yourself.

I have a friend who works as a developer at Facebook, and most of my family has Facebook accounts. I don't - I've never understood why I should provide free content for their platform, subject myself to their intrusive data mining and put up with the nonsense of having a social media presence just so I can tell people who didn't ask about what I did on Labor Day or some other trivia.

Social media is BS. Walk away and don't look back.

No, Facebook changing the algorithm of the News Feed has really upset users on both the Right and the Left. HuffPost and Buzzfeed aren’t exactly happy with the changes, either.

not worth the price. having the facebook app on your phone has been exposed as a data compromise.

Stole his business idea

Stole all the shares from his BEST friend

Secretly sold users’ data

Stated in a confidential email to a friend that people who trust him are "dumb-f*cks".

Married in the community proprety state of California, the very day AFTER he took Facebook public.

Requested nude photos of users to “protect them against the risk of revenge porn”.

Secretly tried to get hospitals to release vast stores of patient data “so I can help cure diseases”.

Initially pursued total rights ownership of images uploaded to FB; if you'd been photoed as a happy youth with, say, a can of Coors then later got really famous, Zuck could be paid by Coors for zero work and YOUR old photo in a new ad while you, the centerpiece of the ad, would get NOTHING. Struck down after lengthy legal battles.

De-platformed numerous Conservatives because he didn't agree with their views, couldn't define hate-speech when asked by Congress.

Secretly requested banks give him his users' financial data, including transactions, so “my users can check their balances on my site."

Digitally permitted his housing advertisers to filter out customers whose search histories were strongly associated with terms like "handicapped" , "mobility scooter" and "guidedog".

Admonished that people "build bridges instead of walls", all while building walls around his Palo Alto homes and around the huge Kauai Estate he bought and then threw the Hawaiians off of.

Established a "trustwothiness index" for ALL his facebook users while disclosing it to none of them.

Altered FB algorithms to flag content from conservative publications as spam.

When/if PDJT deletes his Twitter account — say, at 12:01pm EST, January 20, 2025 — that app will fold.

Thanks 1_Inch_Group. More rely on the cloud to save and share photos, and text with their loved ones and friends. If there's any poltical reason to it, it's probably due to leftist paranoia that President Trump is going to take defacto control under a communication regulation scheme.

Yes!

You literally volunteer to give away information they can aggregate and sell.

You think they don’t?

I bet you are nested comfortably in a nice little niche that they can sell to whoever they want.

Sorry, I’m a primitive.

I still operate quite efficiently on my old LG Chocolate super secret slidy spy phone.

Nope....no smart phone either.

I might be retarded. Might not. There is a case to be argued on either side.
