Billings is the” big city” in Montana. I visited cousins there a long time ago. It is a nice town. If you cannot find a hotel room there try the next closest town, about 200 miles away.

Sheridan, WY is about 130 miles and might be an option. Also the weather up there this time of year is usually pretty good so camping might be an option if there isn't freakish weather - which is common.

Not really...I live in Bozeman and you NEED a reservation ALL summer and most of the winter here.

Getting a room in Billings is easy (except when TRUMP! is in town). The ‘taller’ hotels have hookers...
