The pro-abortion Women’s March has been paying abortion activists’ bail when they disrupt U.S. Senate hearings on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a protester confirmed Thursday.
Stephanie Kenner, a 30-year-old political organizer who describes herself as a human rights advocate, told the Metro Times she interrupted the hearing Tuesday and was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Kenner said the Women’s March, a pro-abortion organization with close ties to Planned Parenthood, paid her bail as well as that of other protesters intent on disrupting the meeting.
“I really think if there’s ever a time to put your body on the line this would be the time,” Kenner told the news outlet. “I know it’s a long shot at this point to prevent this confirmation, but we can’t treat it as a foregone conclusion and not try.”
She was one of at least 73 people who were arrested Tuesday and Wednesday during the hearings, according to the report. Others include Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, Alison Dreith of NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri, actress Piper Perabo, #VOTEPROCHOICE co-founder Heidi Sieck and UltraViolet Executive Director Shaunna Thomas, The Cut reports.

Kenner, a Rochester native who, until recently, lived in Detroit, attended the hearing with support from the Women’s March organization. The group has been covering bail for women who want to speak out against the judge. Nearly all of the protesters arrested so far have been charged with disorderly conduct. Kenner says her bail was $35.
… Kenner entered the Senate chamber Tuesday as part of a rotating group of members of the public allowed to sit in on the proceedings. At the time, Sen. Lindsey Graham was questioning Kavanaugh, not about anything substantive, Kenner says, but about what he may told his daughters about all of the disruptions.
“[Graham] was so disappointed … like ‘What did you tell them’ — as if protesting was the worst thing they could have witnessed,” she says. “So I stood up and I said, ‘I hope that you told them they were hearing the voices of democracy!’
“I had planned to go on and say that this entire hearing is illegitimate — that the nominator, President Trump, is in this ongoing investigation, but that was all I got to say before the police dragged me out of there.”
At one point Tuesday, Kavanaugh’s wife took their young daughters out of the room because of the nastiness of the protesters.
Earlier this week, Dr. Tom Schlueter, of Texas, who attended the hearing, said he observed people being given cash as they waited in line for a seat in the Senate hearing room, The Gateway Pundit reports.
“One thing was there were people who had come along… who had a bag of money, and people would hand them a piece of paper, and then they would give them money. So we know money was exchanged for some of the people to be here, just to protest,” Schlueter said.
“There was no depth to what their understanding, they were just here to be a disruption, protesters,” he continued. “They were actually told, we heard them say this, ‘when you go in, we want you to yell, to scream, and even possibly to get arrested.’”

The hearings continued Thursday with more disruptions from radical abortion activists.
