At my alma mater, when the team runs onto the field the two players out front are carrying the American flag & our state flag. Love it!
Wasn’t watching but reports were that all was pretty quiet, a least to the TV viewer, except for some guy named Bennett walking around a bit during the anthem - Jenkins who has usually been front and center when the television cameras are on for interviews on the evening news seems to me to have been among the missing during recent programs.....
At Purdue University, before the national anthem at every game since 1966 the announcer and the crowd recite “I am an American”:
I am an American. That’s the way most of us put it, just matter of factly. They are plain words, those four: you could write them on your thumbnail, or sweep them across this bright autumn sky. But remember too, that they are more than just words. They are a way of life. So whenever you speak them, speak them firmly, speak them proudly, speak them gratefully. I am an American.
The last four words are usually shouted.

So the NFL, after consulting with the National Football League Black Players Association, decided to have no policy about this issue, so black players, in obedience to Marxist orgs BLM and Antifa, can protest without penalty.
I took a knee this morning. Two knees as a matter of fact at church.
Then I took a knee on my range practicing with my AR-15 shooting from various positions getting ready for deer season.
They think everyone will give up and watch
My favorite quote about the issue was made last season.
I haven’t seen so many kneeling cowboys since “Brokeback Mountain.”

All seriousness aside, I haven't watched TV for 10 years. Almost to the point where I can say, "NFL? What's that?"
I’m trying to imagine someone still supporting and giving money to this bull sh*t. I’d guess the only fans left are Democrat stooges.
A man with the patience of Job.
It was always a idiotic misguided anti-American act
Especially since the cops in Dallas got killed
Especially since the NFL disallowed honoring them
Week after week its just a never ending FU to whites conservatives and Trump
I reluctantly reupped for one more year of ST with a close friend
for the Jets, at a reduced cost for better seats (no PSL) but due to
work travel commitments will likely attend just 2-3 games
Only went to 3 last year
Plan to not buy anything at all inside the interim owner is
the idiot SJW elite brother of conservative owner who
is an ambassador now
Never attend preseason games
No more Directv or Sunday ticket since Trump won
Havent watched one second of any other football team
or related pre or post game programming since 2016
Nike stuff went in the trash\returns
Even a License plate holder- no free adbvertising for these creeps
No team related merchandise of any kind since 2016,
oddly there is much less to be had in stores the last 2 years vs
the Giants
My interest and involvement is down 90%
Its sad because I enjoyed following it
the team is turning the corner also
I always told myself if the league became too
Racist \ militant Ill drop it like the NBA
Im 90% there
I can live off the memory of SB III
Do you think it will ever be worth following again
Would be sweet revenge if Trump was in some way responsible for destroying the NFL, after he “won” that pyrric victory over them in the 80s.
Here in Wisconsin, they are right. I am disgusted with how powerful the almighty packer worship is.
I was trying to break some bolts loose on the back bumper of a CJ7.
Between a breaker bar/pipe and impacts, no dice.Between rust, probable thread lock compound, and whatever else, I couldn’t budge any of them.
I’ll have to get a pal with a torch.
It is not too late, but the league management and owners are going to have to make an example of these troublemakers. Further, they are going to have to walk back some of the rules changes that have turned it from a full contact sport to ballet dancing.
For the most part, I have zero use for professional athletes. The majority of them are barely literate, functionally unintelligible speakers, and profoundly uneducated from a sub-culture with zero virtues worthy of emulation.
I am not sure that sports as a whole can survive the crisis of zero character in its performers.
Good grief. Why does it have to be my favorite team. Maybe they should stop playing the anthem and just focus on football or for these guys.
Douse it with WD-40 and let it set for a day then try the breaker again.
Butane/propane torches are cheap at walmart.
