It's on HBO Pay-Per-View (and your friendly pirate sites which we won't mention here), Main Event should start after 11:PM Eastern.

Pulling for Canelo in the boxing match, although I don’t really follow boxing too much. I won’t be surprised at all if GGG wins.

GGG is one of the best fighters I’ve ever seen, bar none. Awesome punching power in both hands. Beautiful fighter to watch. He is slowing down though and losing a little as he ages. Definitely not as impressive as he was.

Alvarez never lives up to his billing, imo, though I haven’t watched many of his fights the last few years. I almost always root for him when I see him. He just needs to take that next step up. Has he?

My money’s got to be on GGG, but I hope it’s a hell of a good fight!

Boxing is corrupt. The judges’ decision goes where the money is. The money is with Canelo and that’s where the decision went. As much as
I respect Canelo’s ability, GGG won that fight by any metric.

If boxing wasn’t so corrupt, I might do an occasional pay for view. When Paciao (my wife and I’s favorite) went into the ring with a shoulder injury and didn’t tell the public (hundreds of millions bet on the fight here and in the Philippines. Hundred million in pay per view. It only reinforced my knowledge of the corruption. Been watching since age 5 when my father trained boxers for the golden gloves.

Yes, the money was with Canelo. He could be promoted, especially in Mexico, far more easily than GGG, a fighter from Kazakhstan who barely speaks English, much less Spanish. The judges know that their travel money and fees come from the promoters, and if they want to continue being selected by the promoters for high profile fights they must be accommodating.

So far as I can recall, the only good idea McCain ever came up with was to establish a Federal Boxing Commission to clean up the chaotic and corrupt mess that is the sport of professional boxing. It's that bad that putting it under federal control could not make it worse.
