Going Off The Vegan Diet

Kristel, also known under her YouTube alias as KasumiKriss, had been a vegan for four years when she suddenly decided to start eating meat again. Just three weeks after she began eating high-quality meats, she claims that her appearance has improved dramatically, she is able to lift heavier weights when working out and she no longer feels "lifeless."

She looks much more healthier. But clearly hates animals. /s

Wait until PETA hears about her story.

I ate vegetarian for 2 years. It’s very hard to get enough protein or calories without over doing the carbs. It made me pre-diabetic. I’m now back on low carb and my A1C went from 6.1 to 5.2 in 90 days.

Just how does one eat meat and not have an animal hurt...I mean...DEAD...kinda smarts, I'm thinking.

But I do prefer my grass-fed Angus to be dead before I eat it...but not TOO dead.

I could give a damn if it hurts the Angus.

What about the poor grass the Angus is eating?

Stupid ass PETA and dumb ass vegans.

Many vegans are control freaks. That’s why they became vegans.

Funny how articles like this NEVER seem to have comment sections . . . sometimes censorship is like that too!

I see a lot of vegetarians and vegans in my practice who are anemic, and who knows what else.

I think I’ll go to Five Guys for lunch.

Lots of people have had very good results from the “Carnivore Diet” throughout history .....

http://www.empiri.ca/2012/08/my-carnivorous-diet.html

and very bad results from the introduction of Vegetable (seed) Oils and unsaturated fats into the Western Diet .....

Well, we have dueling anecdotes, I went vegetarian (not vegan) 5 years ago and never looked back. I am in my 50s, and three seasons out of four I cycle at least 35 miles a week, run about 5K twice a week, and otherwise walk that distance every day. (During the winter I exercise indoors, and harder.)

My cholesterol is much improved, and despite being a type 1 diabetic for almost 40 years all the evidence indicates my cardiac health is terrific.

I’m not trying to boast, just provide readers a different experience. I’m glad you’ve found a regimen that works for you.

What about the animals that live in fields as a natural habitat? Do you know how many birds, bunny rabbits, chipmunks, frogs and other creatures die every time an acre of plant material is harvested?

My sister had the same experience.

Yes, as a teen she fell for the PETA propaganda.

I’m 52, eat a Paelo diet, I do Brazilain Jui Jitsu, bike 30 miles a week, run a 5k here or there and I can guarantee my health metrics are better than yours across the board. Not to mention probably have you on the ground unconscious in 30 seconds in embarrassing fashion. You may have decent cholesterol, but what kind of cholesterol, what type, what size molecule. Vegan diets in men will raise your risk factors in a number of ways, vegan diets are high in estrogen(soy) enhancing chemicals, which causes a cascade of health issues. Sorry you are entitled to your opinion, not your facts, A vegan diet is against your biology and will kill you. Humans are naturally omnivores. Not a single primitive society, not a one, was vegan. Not any place on earth. Why is that? Keep eating a high carb diet(vegan diets by definition get their nutrition mostly from carbohydrate) with your diabetes, you’ll be a burden someday in the next couple of years. The sores, the organ failure, etc.

Beats me.

But I'm about to cut and bale 17 acres of Coastal Bermuda...oh, the bugmanity!

If I have time, I'll count the dead bunnies that end up in each bale.

And if they're fresh enough (and not squashed too much from the baler) I'll eat them suckers, 'cause, after all, they be dead and ain't hurting no more.

(I know you're being rhetorically sarcastic.)

(So am I...but I meant what I said about eating the bunnies.)

Some years ago I heard a discussion about this on the radio. The Doctor talking explained: ‘We have flat teeth in the back for grinding, just like cows and other herbivores. We have tearing teeth in the front, just like dogs and other carnivores. We were designed to eat both plant and animal’. For me it was a revelation. Case closed.

“””Not to mention probably have you on the ground unconscious in 30 seconds in embarrassing fashion. ”””

Cool! Threats of violence for no apparent reason is always convincing enough to want to be like you. What a jerk!

My wife and I raise Angus beef cattle for a reason.

The meat is mouth-watering grilled on the BBQ.

We raise all grass-fed beef except occasionally we fatten one up to butcher for our freezer.

All tastes the same to me. Delicious.

Oh and we have a big garden for you "vegan" fans.

To eat heathy, one needs to eat vegetables and meat.

I HATE links like that. They are so cluttered, you have to click through many times to read the story, then the browser doesn’t want to close. Whatever happened to simple fast loading uncluttered web sites?
