I agree with most of what you posted there, except I don’t believe the Democrats really thought Kavanaugh would bail. In fact, I’m getting a sense that the Democrats knew all along that Ford’s tale was utter B.S. — and were boxed into a corner when they knew the Washington Post would break the story in September and their base would be enraged to find that Feinstein had sat on Ford’s letter since July.

Democrats used her to the Max and the sooner she accepts that fact the better of she will be.
I still feel if Kavanaugh cant do it,some one, anyone in the scenario needs to sue her into oblivion and ruin her

Point taken. I'll rephrase to say that some may not have thought he would bail, they sure as hell hoped he would.

I think you hit it.

That would explain all of the scrambling behind the scenes in the dim party.

Everyone tearing their hair trying to figure out what to do and how to make the senate ignore her.

It might also explain why the repubs are leaning over backwards so far to get her to appear.
