Hillary Clinton explains to Stephen Colbert why Trump can be indicted (video - barf alert)

Hillary Clinton has a message for Donald Trump: You’re not above the law.

On Friday, the former First Lady and Secretary of State discussed the legal challenge of indicting a sitting president, which Trump’s legal team has claimed cannot happen, on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Clinton was present to promote the paperback release of her best-selling campaign memoir, What Happened.

“If you’re not president and you’ve committed a crime, you should be able to be indicted,” Clinton explains to Colbert. Trump and his campaign are under federal investigation for obstruction of justice and potential collusion with the Russian government, both of which, Clinton implies, apply to the time-period before Trump’s tenure.

However, she adds, the law is murkier when it comes to indicting the president’s in-office conduct — say, the firing of former FBI Director James Comey. “The constitution has a specific remedy — which is impeachment,” Clinton says. She then adds that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that a president can be subpoened.

This is a comedy show right? Hillary is HILLARYius! Comedic timing based on thick irony. She's a natural comedienne.

Hasn’t she and her husband both been disbarred? So she’s no longer a lawyer, right?

takes one to know one. This sounds a lot like her.

There couldn't possibly be a less relevant figure to speak to this issue than Hillary, and there couldn't possibly be a less important person to speak to about it than Stephen Colbert.

It's like watching Carrot Top explain quadratic equations to a taco.

So taking bleachbit to a computer server and wiping out 31,000 emails for which a subpoena had already been issued is not a crime?

According to the shebeast, if the president expresses his opinion, he is obstructing justice.

I hate to break it to here but innocent people are investigated all the time. An investigation means nothing except in the court of public opinion.

At this point, I would not be shocked if they indicted Donald Trump for running rape gangs while he was a student at Yale. Now, you might say, “ ... but he was never a student at Yale” and I would just say, “I’m not sure that matters any more.”

Hillary Clinton lecturing on the possibility/necessity/legality of indicting Trump? The woman who, if there were ever any even minor effort to bring justice would be facing indicting on at least:

- aiding and abetting a rapist (her husband)
- securities fraud and insider trading
- felony theft from Public Property (when she and her husband moved out of the White House).
- multiple murders and conspiracy to commit murder
- Charitable foundation fraud, money laundering and misappropriation of funds
- violation of multiple federal security regulations and laws regarding use of technology and records.
- abuse of the FBI resources against political enemies
- violations of multiple regulations regarding the Uranium One deal, not to mention kickbacks from that deal while she was in a position of influence.
- Lying to Congress
- Fabricating evidence
- Destroying evidence

So Hillary REALLY needs to avoid throwing rocks in her own glass house.

Cobert’s ratings must be seriously hurting if he must resort to dragging out a Clinton carcass to attract viewers.
