Another poor day for Woods as inexplicable Cup record continues

Tiger Woods's Ryder Cup record went from bad to worse when he lost two more matches on Saturday, extinguishing a theory that a warmer, cuddlier, middle-aged cat would finally shine in the team format. The second most prolific major champion of all time now has nine wins, 19 losses and one halved match in Ryder Cup fourball and foursomes. He has lost seven consecutive times in the team format, a dreadful record that defies easy explanation, not that people will shy away from trying.

Tiger is either #1 or #2 all time but he is all about me. He is not a team player on and off the course.

Match Play is a different beast than stroke play. If you eagle while your opponent gets par you still just win the hole. Dominate explosive play means nothing, you just need to be consistent

“He (Tiger) is not a team player on and off the course”

I never really understood the purpose of the Ryder Cup. Golf doesn’t strike me as a team sport. Best ball, maybe...

He needs to start nailing Waffle House waitresses again.

Give Tiger some credit he was nailing Perkins waitresses. Waffle House is too low class for him.

ESPN, the entire sports media for that matter, have been so invested in this guy’s comeback. Even when he loses, the story is about “Tiger didn’t win” rather than being about the person who did. He finally wins one and the sports media (that eagerly tore him apart in the first place) treats it like the story of the year.

“He’s back,” they declare. “What can stop him,” they exclaim, breathlessly.

He is back all right. Back to dragging our Ryder cup team into the ashes. As I write this he is losing again in a must have match. Proving that when it comes to the Ryder cup, he is a elite choker.

Tiger shouldn’t have been playing much to start with. He and Phil are past their prime. It’s time the US puts their best on the team and the course. Not the guys with the big endorsements. Everybody can see that Tiger has been on drugs the entire time he’s been there and is playing terrible.

I’m pulling for Tiger but he is heavily sedated. That is easy to see. Not sure why, may be his back ? But he can’t play when that drugged up.

Ryder Cup is all about the TV ratings, which is why Tiger and Phil are on the team. Europe fields their best players while we field our former stars.

Choker Woods works his Ryder Cup magic again.

Not to worry, next week when he is playing tourney golf he suddenly won’t be sedated. Bottom line, if he was hurting, and I don’t doubt he is given the seriousness of his injury, he should have done the right thing for the team and withdrawn.
