Her career went kaput after she stopped doing John Hughes movies over 3 decades ago. I remember she tried a comeback tv series in the early ‘90s called “Townies”, except her then-unknown charming and adorable co-star Jenna Elfman blew her off the screen and the show was quickly cancelled and Elfman became a star with a series for her and movies.
