Brett Kavanaugh process: How Democrats played [major league baseball analogy]
7-Oct-2018 | Vanity

Posted on 10/06/2018 11:52:43 PM PDT by topher

The past few weeks have been 'brutal' on many people. So what was going on? To use the baseball analogy, the Democrats were a like a team so desparate that they threw a high tight 'fastball' at the head of each hitter on the Republican side -- for every batter and for every inning.

Normally, that might be done once or maybe twice in a game to send a message to the other team. Especially a high and tight fastball to the hitter on the other side who did the most damage. It is meant to intimidate the other side.

The 'million' dollar question is: Has what the Democrats done in the 'Brett Kavanaugh' process 'intimidated' the future of Supreme Court nominees and the process.

The answer probably will be a yes, so the process of nominating 'Supreme Court Justice' may have to have some changes.

Maybe one answer for the Republicans is to call up a really good player from the Minor leagues (who is not a minor leaguer).

This is namely: Sarah Palin.

Conservatives need the 'best of the best' representing us in Washington.

Sometimes the 'trial by fire' makes a person 'golden' and eliminates impurities.

Steve Scalise may have gone through a 'trial by fire'.

It is possible, at some point, he might be the House Speaker. But the next House Speaker is probably going to be a person from Ohio.

All of the Rats’ pitchers got ejected. They had to put their backup catcher (Creepy Porn Lawyer) on the mound. He sucked.

If the Republicans pick up about 4-5 seats in November, this nonsense will stop. The only reason why it hapened is because of Flake and the two chicks looking for some fame. Flake will be replaced in November. Without the vote outcome depending on the mersey of one or two a-holes playing games, it will stop.

Despite Flake voting "yes," I believe he is finished. He is a man without a party. Who will hire him?

Curve low to the inside, over the fence.

Don’t mess with it, they have no pitchers left.

Baseball? Ok, I’ll bite: This was the equivalent of them holding up posterboards for all the pitch calls and baserunners. They practically drew everyone a map.

Not sure why I’m the only one who sees through the BS, but alrighty then.

Lotion stocks: Invest heavily.

Democrats are like satyrs. They tried to f’ck everybody except themselves. They've shown themselves to be despicable. I hope the coming elections show how repugnant they have become.

Dems ain’t done yet. There’s still a Month left.

They’ll launch another attack to REV UP their base & TRY to get more (I) voters back on their side.

It’s up to the (R)’s to continue their full-court-press & knock it outta the park.

Don’t get complacent about the midterms. I’m in a congressional district that just got redrawn by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court under a Democratic governor to tear up a red district and throw us in with a Pittsburgh city district, all Democratic of course. I’m not even sure what the number is but Mike Doyle will be our new Congressman come November and he’s a crony Democrat. The formerly Republican suburbs are like orphans now. My vote is cancelled out by the city Democrats.

They need to go back to the old way, documents, no meetings. No meetings no press. No press no grandstanding.

When the enemy is on the run you don’t celebrate. You turn their flank and run a bayonet up their ass.

Robert Bork's nomination being destroyed by the Democrats was later refered to as 'he was borked'.

This is several levels above what was done to Robert Bork... If you know baseball, I that that was appropriate.

Throwing a pitch at the head of a batter can get the pitcher ejected. That is why someone commented on this thread that the 'Democrats have no more pitchers'.

It is also the time of year that leads into the World Series...

Change the Rules in the Judiciary Committee. Only Corroborated Witnesses will be heard; they're isn't enough time for thousands of "Witnesses" and Allegations to be heard. They must be submitted to the committee during the submittal period and testimony period - not afterwards.

More importantly for Flake, he can come home and people only the left will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Had he betrayed his own party at the last?

If you listened to Lindsey Graham the other day he intimated that he would most likely be the new Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee in the next Congress. If true my guess is that we wont see a repeat of the bullshit we just witnessed with the Kavanaugh nomination.

Flake: It reminds me of a story about a Civil War Soldier that got this bright idea that if, on patrol, he wore gray pants and a blue jacket, neither side would shoot at him. It didn’t work out that way. The Gray shot at the blue and the Blue shot at the gray.

Completely true.

“The greatest happiness is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters.”

~Genghis Khan

No interest in the women here - put them to slave labor for what they have said and done.

We are not far from Von Klauswitz, IMHO. The Rats can’t stop. As Bongino just said, they have no emergency brake. It appears they aren’t even reaching for one but are just mashing on the accelerator. If we fail to absolutely crush them in November it could get ugly fast.

If the Pubs pick up a few more senate seats the confirmation process should be little harder for the Dems to obstruct.

Their insane antics won’t be enabled by a razor thin majority of squishy Republican senators. And Flake will be gone.
