I’ll answer this way. Lindsey Graham gave a fine, powerful defense of Judge Kavanaugh. Before that he talked a lot of garbage about Donald Trump. A man who says a couple of positive statements that resonate with you when he previously said much different that was offensive isn’t of a sudden your ally. That’s how I see West.
