Trump congratulates Princess Eugenie on wedding

President Trump took to Twitter Sunday to congratulate Princess Eugenie on her marriage to Jack Brooksbank.

“Princess Eugenie of York was a truly beautiful bride yesterday. She has been through so much, and has come out a total winner!” Trump tweeted about the royal newlywed, although her wedding occurred on Friday, not Saturday.

Trump was most likely referring to Eugenie’s battle with scoliosis when she was a child. The daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson underwent surgery when she was 12 years old to treat the condition. The operation left a scar down her back, which she showed off with her low back wedding dress and no veil.

Eugenie requested a dress that displayed the scar to draw awareness to the condition.

“The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Princess Eugenie who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis,” the palace said in its official statement.

Both bride and groom sound like a class act. She married a young man who seems worthy of marrying into the Royal Family.

Yawn.

If her brat ever winds up like other less privileged British children with serious medical problems YOU CAN BE SURE their :death panels” will allow the kid to travel overseas for treatment.

But her father, Prince Andrew, wasn’t he guilty of going to pedo island multiple times?

What does that have to do with her wedding?

Just like the Queen Eugenie of France who allowed her Napoleon III to have many affairs so she could exercise power? Nothing like studying history, all of you Eugenie worshippers. lololol

She is often credited with having a preponderant voice in the decision to create a French-sponsored kingdom of Mexico (1861).

Both lovely.

I loved that modern Eugenie didn’t have a veil for the wedding. By highlighting her magnificent tiara, she asserted her ‘princess’ role before the kingdom — as she and her sister tend to be overshadowed by their more famous cousins.

It’s rare to see crowned princesses in our day. :)

There is a history of salacious stories surrounding her parents, (Duchess Sarah Ferguson aka ‘Fergie’ in particular) — none more salacious than the affairs and details preceding the divorce itself...for some reason I have a feeling Trump was also referring to that...

He too was a fixture in the tabloids at about the same time...

Yes, but what do those accusations have to do with her?
