Smoking Tasty Tri Tips for Weight Loss

VIDEO

I recently smoked a Tri Tip which was so incredibly good that I smoked two more Tri Tips that same week. This video is of the third Tri Tip that I smoked.

One way I am losing weight is by preparing incredibly tasty low or no carb food such as this. Meanwhile I am able to avoid carb cravings via taking Crave Stop.

Tri Tips are very popular in the Santa Barbara area of California. It is from the lower triangular area of the cow below the sirloin, thus the name "Tri Tip." It is somewhere between a steak and roast beef in taste and texture. If you never had it before, I highly recommend it. However, if you do cook it up you should smoke it in order to fully appreciate its fantastic flavor.

That’s one of the good things about dieting - less carbs and more protein means lots of new meat experiences...

All good advice - my wife follows a similar diet and as a type two diabetic got off of insulin entirely but still uses small doses of Metformin (has its own problems) and Glyburide both of which she tries to minimize.

She's pretty much organic all the way, no dairy except organic butter, heavy whipping cream and hard cheeses like Parmesan. She even puts butter in her coffee and has spoonfuls of organic coconut oil. No breads or pasta, carbs under 20G/day? but pork rinds are apparently OK.

Oh! Bacon! Cured and uncured (no nitrates/nitrites). Every couple of days. I tell her she should write a book.

As a opposed to peanuts, she goes with walnuts, pecans, almonds and macademia nuts. Organic - expensive as are all organics. She even makes her own nut butters in a Cuisinart but no peanuts. Her A1C is 5.9 and dropping.

She's out of town but checking why peanuts were not on her list I think was the issue of aflatoxins and pesticides.

Here's a source you might want to start with ... Just FYI.

Peanuts: Most are Carcinogenic & Pesticide-Contaminated, But There are Safe Sources!" - lots more out there - this is just the first that seemed informative in my search.

Keep up the good work - You should see her in a bikini at 64!

After a coin toss, I'll also mention that coconut oil is good for your skin, massages and other bedroom activities and its edible ... ;-)

If you can't find a tri-tip, try a flat iron steak instead. I smoked one for steak sandwiches this past weekend.

I’m just back from Aldi’s. They didn’t have tri tips but they did have sirloin tips. Not the same thing.

I bought something like this from Kroger over the weekend. It's a beef shoulder top blade steak.

It's not a tri-tip, but it smoked well and was tender when sliced thin for sandwiches smothered in grilled onions.
