It doesnt have to be high protein; it just has to be low carb. Protein really needs to be adequate to your life, more working out and muscle building needs more protein. Protein is the one kind of food that really builds us. Never eat without at least some protein in that meal or snack.

Protein and healthy fat, plus exercise, and enough carbs to feed your gut bugs and give you some pleasure, and your same weight can redistribute itself in good ways. So low carb should be for life, not just for the period of weight loss. Tweak it til you dont crave any more carbs than you normally get.
