It wasn’t until Judy and Dennis Shepard were sitting on the plane, leaving their home state of Wyoming for the nation’s capital, carrying their son’s ashes, that the feeling sank in.

Earlier this year, a team from the Smithsonian visited the Shepards in their home in Wyoming. They came to look through Matthew Shepard’s belongings, a trove of childhood memories and mementos from his everyday life. The Shepards had agreed to donate a collection of their son’s personal items for preservation at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, a donation the museum is receiving today.
The article is silence on the real reason Shephard was murdered. It had nothing to do with Shephard being homo but it was it a drug deal gone wrong. But the Leftist narrative that Shephard was a victim of a hate crime was established early and the Left is invested in that narrative; the noble lie.

Yup, it takes a sleazy pub like the Post to totally disregard the book by a gay person with courage and some ability to do real investigation. That book showed that Shepards was a drug dealer. He was killed in a drug deal.
We’re going to have to extend scientific notation to adequately describe the sleaze of the Wa Po jokesters. Thankfully, they already live in the sewer with the rest of the nation’s disease.
They are not about to lay their son to rest at the National Cathedral. He has been cremated. There is nothing to lay to rest.
