If I bought a real expensive ring for my wife, she would have probably not gone through with the wedding.
She’s very money conscious, in fact she had connections with someone where we could get the ring much cheaper than any retail outlet, so that’s what we did.

We are the same. Spending money on stupid stuff is well... stupid.We don’t even exchange gifts on birthdays or valentines. Just a card or flowers and a nice dinner out. Instead of over priced crap. Instead, I give her a new Krugerrand for our collection each year.

We bought our wedding bands at...a pawn shop on the cheap.
