President Donald Trump praised Republicans for expanding their majority in the Senate on Wednesday, while offering harsh criticism to GOP House members — including Utah’s Rep. Mia Love — who failed to wholeheartedly embrace his agenda.
Trump said Love had called him “all the time” asking for help freeing Utahn Josh Holt, who had been imprisoned in Venezuela. But her re-election campaign distanced itself from his administration, the president said, which led to her poor performance in Utah’s 4th Congressional District.
“Mia Love gave me no love and she lost,” Trump said. “Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia.”
Love is currently trailing her Democratic challenger, Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams, by less than 3 percentage points. A significant number of ballots remain uncounted in Salt Lake and Utah counties, leaving the race too close to call until new totals are released.

Exactly....He’s ‘the most disliked’ flip-flopper politician even among his peers. The guy knows only one thing...begging for another chance to run for something, anything, until he gets anything.

Exactly. I was not a Trump fan during the primary and even in the leadup to the election, as I (like most conservatives) didn’t believe he could get past the crony mindset it took to be successful in NYC real estate. In addition, he routinely put down conservative (Constitutional, actually0 principles.
Once he delivered on everything that any real conservative would have delivered on, and understood the negotiation process from a position of strength, it was worth having to watch him understand Congress and its habits before he succeeded.
In short, I was skeptical. He proved me wrong. I changed and became a supporter because he delivered on nearly all of the Constitutional issues that make his country run properly. So as one of the original class of #NeverTrump, I’m glad to shed that label and become a full supporter. Kurt Slichter, Mark Levin, and others are the same.
For Mia Love to get infested in the swamp shortly after arrival was not the best move on her part. Now we have to deal with Romney in the senate, whom I predict will be our biggest pain in the rear for the next six years, particularly as he takes the reins of he Republican Senate campaign committee...you know the same organization that kneecaps conservatives like Chris McDaniel in favor of Thad Cochran. Screw them.
