A size 28 lingerie model from New York is embracing her fuller figure after receiving nasty jibes from internet trolls.

Leah Stanley, 29, started her Instagram account, that now has over 92,000 followers, in a bid to encourage other women to enjoy their curves after she grew up without a strong plus-sized influence.

'I've received countless comments and messages regarding my health, lifestyle and life overall. I've been told I should kill myself, that I should learn to stop eating or that I'm unhealthy and only promoting an unhealthy lifestyle,' says Leah.

Nearly four years ago - in my late 60s - I had a knee replacement. It was the result of a nasty industrial accident in 1980.

The hospital gave a once-monthly pre-operation briefing; there were over 20 of us in attendance. I was the oldest - most of the others were in their 40s. I was the ONLY one of normal weight. I’d guess the most of them were at least 100 pounds overweight.

Thank you, golux. You are a kind brave person. It is out of cruelty and ignorance a lot of people belittle others in their self righteous hatefulness. Oddly, they see themselves so high and mighty, far above, someone who merely may have physical or emotional concerns and developed weight problems. So their answer is to spew venom. Very telling.
