Sorry, but NO. They are NOT progreassive and every conservative who calls them "progressives" plays into their dictionary mangling strategies when we wimpishly comply with their demand to call them progressives.
They ARE REGRESSIVES regressing the Nation all the way back to Babylon and deliberately offering babies to Molech burning them alive on the brass arms of the idol. The babies may now be offered to satan by abortion agents to the idol of globalist depopulation schemes but the spiritual effect from God's perspective is quite similar and the looming judgment accordingly will be quite devastating when God unleashes it--hopefully post Trump. And there are reports of many abortion agents doing satanic ceremonies with the baby parts.
We do NOT NEED to comply with regressives' manipulations of the dictionary. This is one word I refuse to kowtow on and submit to their evil deception. If we cannot stand strong and tall and call a REGRESSIVE A REGRESSIVE, what the blinkin blazes can we stand tall for???????????
So what if our social network looks at us funny? The Bible declares we are to be a peculiar people. Will we RISE to that occasion, or not?
At least we will leave our hearers a bit of sobering food for thought that Holy Spirit can niggle them with.
If we think we can wage successful spiritual warfare only safely and serenely from our Laz-Y-Boys without wading hazardously into the culture, we are deluding ourselves. Even if we stand tall about REGRESSIVES vs 'progressives,' our risk and warfare are still meager compared to what may be needed. At least that much is doable without shedding any blood.
The most we might risk is annoyed looks or at worst social rejection or a friend's pique. If that's the most we suffer for standing tall on serious principles and Godly values, I'm not sure that's a feather in our cap.
Christ said we WOULD SUFFER TROUBLES, TRIBULATIONS. If we aren't, perhaps we are laying down on the job overmuch.
I suppose, in the larger scheme of things, my crusade against the term "progressives" may seem comical, ineffectual or like a candle in a sky-falling hurricane.
So be it. At least it will be an emphatic stand of whatever influence. At least people will know where I stand and they will have a chance to reconsider the idiocy of the dictionary they have been manipulated into using.

The correct and accurate term for every democrat and every leftist is racist regressive fascist.
Racist because every thought or action must be understood in terms of color. Content of character no longer matters,
Regressive because they seek to eliminate the freedoms of classical liberalism. The first amendment, the second, etc. they wish to regress to an era where the individual is subsumed.
And fascist because all primacy rests on state control and power.
I correct anyone stupid enough to use the false terms of democrat, progressive, leftist, etc. ,in front of me. I tell them to speak truthfully, and say racist, regressive, fascists or don’t speak to or near me.
I never have to tell them twice.
I have stated before on this site that those who are referred to as “progressives” are not,but are absolutely regressive. Progressive refers to progress;exactly what these liberals are NOT.
In my own humble way I have been planting seeds to make the term “progressives” or progressive become a derogatory expression.
Since the actual description is rather long (neo-communist “progressive-liberal” democrat) a bit of thought got it down to proglib.
Since most folks have not heard that term they ask what it means.

Yes, it’s back 1000s of years with these regressive guys, but because they don’t read history they’ll never know. For example, the fetish of sexual identity was something the Romans played around with in their more decadent phase. The heredity rights of communist leaders (e.g., Raul Castro, Kim Jong Un) were no different that in the countless millennia back when kings and their progeny ruled their kingdoms. This is NOT progressive. Many of the beliefs of regressive left goes back to paganism: radical ecology = Gaia, emphasis on women = matriarchy, anything goes sexually = temple prostitutes, etc. Coupled with high degrees of impiety and whim back then might as well be today.

A recent WSJ opinion piece referred to “authoritarian socialism.”And if you think about it, socialism is authoritarian.
Nothing else. Because it is authoritarian, it is naive towards government - and, perforce, cynical towards society (which actually needs a lot less governing than the authoritarian prefers to believe, or to admit).
