Notre Dame is the only team to play and beat 4 teams that are now in the top 25. They beat two others that left the top 25 after losing to Notre Dame. So after playing the toughest schedule and going undefeated, why are so many sportswriters saying that Notre Dame shouldn’t be ranked 3rd. Clemson has not played anybody unless Notre Dame also beat them. I think Notre Dame would beat Clemson. And Alabama would probably beat everyone.

Maybe they are embarrassed to have as a mascot, a 40 year old oversexed divorcee.

Looks like Georgia has to beat Alabama to get in the final 4.

If Georgia beats Bama, Bama drops to number 5 behind Michigan, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Clemson. The SEC only plays powder puffs and their own conference. So they don’t move back when they lose. Its circular logic. The SEC is little different than CFU. They play within their conference and weak teams otherwise. But SEC is assumed to be all strong while the AAC is assumed to be all weak. Even though CFU went undefeated last year and beat Auburn after Auburn beat both Georgia and Alabama.

The last time that happened was probably 1945 when Doc Blanchard played for Army.

The Bucknuts would then play the Northwestern Mildcats in the B1G Integer conference final at Indianapolis; the winner goes to the Rose Bowl where they would play the winner of Washington/Washington State and Utah.

“what if Ohio beats Michigan.... where do Ohio go”

Ohio State was blown out by 5-6 Purdue
Ohio State barely beat 5-6 Maryland.

What a bunch of phoney baloney crap. The top four teams play 7 or 8 patsies every year. I can’t believe people get all wrapped up in this charade.

Notre Dame looks good this year. Their defense is great— smash-mouth roiding great. They would have the best chance against Alabama, imo.

The cougs would beat Oklahoma, Michigan, Georgia and probably Clemson.

“Army cracking the top 25. Nice!!”

Army took Oklahoma to overtime in Norman and should have had that game. A pretty good team this year.

“Army took Oklahoma to overtime in Norman and should have had that game.”

OU is totally exposed on the defensive side of the ball, costing their long-time coordinator his job (Mike Stoops). You mention Army with the OT, my Oklahoma State Cowboys had them in their sights but couldn’t close it out, and even lowly KU scored 40 on them this weekend. I can’t believe the committee, the coaches, and the AP keep them in the Top 10. This week’s match-up with West Virginia will be interesting.

Everyone still talks about 2012 ND team that got schlonged in the title game. The perception of being overrated still lingers from that.
