Crime Plummets After QuikTrip Stores Add Good Guys with Guns
Breitbart ^ | 11/18/18 | AWR Hawkins

QuikTrip convenience stores added good guys with guns in Wichita, Kansas, and the results were so good that they are expanding the program to stores in other areas. The NRA noted, “After implementing the new strategy at its Wichita, Kansas locations and seeing success, QuikTrip, the massive gas station and convenience store chain said it would expand the policy to other stores.”

KWCH reports that the good guys with guns will be armed security, but QuikTrip also left the door open to armed clerks in situations where the clerks “have previous experience and necessary licenses.”

But, but, but...

If you ask any gun grabber, no one is qualified to defend himself/herself/itself. Only police, those black gloved racist thugs, the ones lugging around 150 rounds of ammo that they are only supposed to use on legs and hands, are supposed to be permitted to put themselves between mere civilians and insensate Evul.

I'm confused...

Guam allows open carry.
You don’t see it very often but it is allowed.
I was in store the other day and the guy in front of me at the checkout had small automatic on his belt.

This is good news...”gun free zones” are an open invitation for crime and shooting sprees.

I’ve often wondered why convenience stores, liquor stores, etc., don’t do like some of the old west saloons did, and have a guy in the corner, sitting in an elevated chair, with a sawed-off, double-barreled twelve gauge to calm down the crooks and the rowdy cowboys.

Crooks take the path of least resistance, and they’re not going to even attempt to rob a store full of armed clerks.

First conservative gas station. We should give them our business and tell them to expand.

At $15 per hour 24-365, that’s $131,400 per store, per year.

I never knew how horrible Wichita really is with crime until I became a regular listener of Broadcastify.

There is so much happening, that the police can’t be everywhere fast enough.

One of the walmarts stopped staying open 24 hours a day because it got so bad.

Quick trip is a frequent stop for drug trading, robbery, beatings, theft.

Certain ones in certain places usually have police guarding the place as soon as the sun begins to set. And they do one heck of a lot of business. It’s amazing how fast their service is!

Legal, I saw the same at central New Hampshire restaurant.

Seated, with the small automatic exposed and tilted out, it appeared like a tempting "snatch" for a felon.

That’s just wages. Much more for a fully burdened employee rate when everything else is considered.

The other fast food/gas station operators will complain that because the bad guys aren’t trying to rob the stores that have armed protection, that they are being robbed more often...and demand that they put down their guns {in the name of fairness}.

We used to see guards like that in some shops in Nairobi.

My state Pennsylvania also allows open carry. Very rare that you see anyone open carry though. I work in New Jersey so I usually don’t carry at all. But I do shoot a lot, compete in competitions mostly steel challenge and the like. I consumed 11K rounds of 9mm so far this year that’s over 1000 rounds per month.

I rarely hear much about people brandishing weapons in pawn shops or at gun shows. Same thing, knowing that many that are there are ALSO armed is a wonderful deterent.......a simple fact that the lib media conveniently overlooks.

PA allows both open and concealed carry, with a permit required for each. I open carried on my nursery/gdn ctr, but I wouldn’t do it publicly, and only carry concealed. I carry a full-sized Kimber 1911 .45cal ACP w/ 230gr HPs.

Have you tried Glaser Safety Slugs? They are real Dracula killers, and since most R/T gunfights are at conversation ranges...

I used some of it in my old 2001 Glock G32 .357SIG, but sold all the ammo along w/ the G32, FED212 Galco Paddle Holster etc, years ago. Haven’t tried it in either of my 2012 Kimber 1911 .45cal ACPs, or 1975 Colt Trooper MKIII in .357 Magnum.

What are you shooting it from, and do you like it? I might have to get a couple of boxes and try it.

.45ACP Officer's Model Double Eagle. It's got a 3.5 inch long barrel, double action. I can carry it hammer down, and one in the pipe. The newer Glasers have a round nose, so they feed better.

BUT! They are dear. The last ones I bought were $20 for 6 rounds. I usually load one in the pipe, 5 in the mag, and the last 2 are Federal Hydrashoks. My backup mag is 7 Hydrashoks.

I hand load, so I practice with semi-wadcutters, a +P load. It saves a few dollars.
