The plan anticipates that human survivors would raid police stations, sporting-goods stores and armories for weapons. This is apparently seen as a feature, not a bug.
Why would FReepers need to raid an armory??? Better NODS/NVGs maybe.
Otherwise, maybe just to replace items lost in boating accidents.
The CDC put out a zombie apocalypse survival guide years ago. The purpose was not to seriously suggest that such an apocalypse is possible, but to capitalize on the popularity of zombie fiction to engage people in a subject that is typically very dry. Disaster preparedness guides are not known for their riveting plots or empathetic characters.
Thanks, the book looks interesting, just got it.
The plan anticipates the inevitable day when the EBT cards stop working - and the Rodney King Riots resume.
Max Brooks did some college speaking about this that can be found on YouTube. Hes pretty funny.
The bicycle is the best mode of transportation during the zombie apocalypse because the bicycle is the ONLY mode of transport that runs on FEAR.
All electric power systems and vehicles with electronic chips would be disabled.
Store shelves run dry in 3 days.
City water and Natural Gas stops flowing.
City and suburban populations BECOME THE ZOMBIES, as they seek survival supplies.
Many of them will be well armed, at least to the extent they can carry the load. (the grasshoppers who believe they can steal from the ants)
Have been for quite a while now.
translation: a couple of hundred useless bureaucrats at FEMA are assigned to formulating plans for one.
Crew served weapons
“...you can find CONPLAN 8888-11, a detailed plan for counter-zombie dominance prepared by a group of junior officers...” ...who are still trying to figure out which bathroom to use.
Right. I’m relying on these boys & girls (junior officers) to save me.
Are we ready for the caravan apocalypse? No.
Excellent idea. Plus frags and Claymores.
OK, you convinced me. ;-)
The mall slide looks like a great way to beat a crowded escalator : )
