I read somewhere this is fake news. They are scheduled for a season 2. Maybe it will be cleared up soon.

Comedies that are not funny usually DO end. Did no one tell them that in Hollywood?

Liberal sitcoms are not funny, because they have no humor.

I would offer this observation about Murphy Brown-Revamped...having seen maybe six clips from the season...it simply wasn’t funny.

It was like you fired comedy writers, and hired political hacks to write some slant-story and throw six actors in the middle of some political dialog. Yeah...a 2018 political soap opera than an actual comedy show.

I think the crews on the set knew by the 3rd episode that it was doomed. Probably the same feeling on the new Magnum PI set as well. I think the production idiots in Hollywood are burned out and can’t create anything new and fresh.

Anything funny is going to offend someone. Then Twitter explodes and there are apologies. Then people get fired and the creative talent is gone. So the alternative is to reboot old successful stories and get people in with nostalgia. That right there is no substitute for actual humor but it gets people looking at the screen.

One thing the executives need to learn is that Twitter is unimportant. Twitter explosions really are fleeting and if you wait 20 minutes it will be something else exploding. But the people in charge are not tech savvy for the most part and any negative publicity requires an immediate response for damage control. So they act on the tweets and make rash decisions or they dumb down the content so much that nobody is ever going to enjoy watching. It’s like eating cold cereal with water instead of milk.

Hmmm... Murphy Brown or Root Canal... Murphy Brown or Root Canal... Tough choice but I choose Root Canal.
