RUSH: Well, look at this, folks. CBS has canceled Murphy Brown. Historic low ratings. CBS is saying (paraphrasing), “Hey, there’s no news here. We’re canceling it after 13 weeks. It was only a 13-week order. So we’re just not renewing it. We’re not canceling anything.” That’s their story, and they’re sticking to it. You know as well as I do that if Murphy Brown had been a hit, that they’d be trying to do another Roseanne version of it except not get rid of Candace Bergen.
So another “We hate Trump” comedy down the tubes, Murphy Brown, and they’ve canceled another show, Happy Together. Anybody know what that show is? It’s supposedly a comedy, Happy Together. As long as they don’t cancel Elementary. Even if they put Elementary on All Access, that’s such a great show. I love Elementary, and it almost got canceled last year, but it survived.

It was painful to watch the anti-ICE (yet somehow pro-big-government) stupid-fest on Thanksgiving, when the evil ICE agents raided her part to arrest 2 poor innocent ILLEGAL ALIENS.
Funny thing I noticed, the new Murphy Brown episodes were called Season 11.
13 weeks is not a bad deal for Candace as she was able to cash the checks of somewhere around $750k to $1 million per episode.
I suspect the primary goal of the show was to provide mid-term propaganda for the demonrats. If the show had been a hit, that would have just been a bonus for CBS.
Bottom line: the demonrats won, so CBS is happy.
They didn’t have Dan Quayle to kick around this time around.

Yep, I saw that Thanksgiving episode.
It had started out as a mildly amusing episode, about Murphy’s misadventures in cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and morphed into a political statement about how mean we are to illegal aliens.
This whole Brown farce was only on TV in hopes of swaying a few voters against President Trump and the Republicans. It was not supposed to last past the mid term elections. Hell, the DNC might have financed it for all we know.
Funny how they never have a TV show about poor, innocent Kelly who's in a wheelchair because she was hit by an uninsured illegal alien drunk driver. Or poor, innocent Ethan who got beat up at school because he's not Hispanic. Or poor, innocent Jason who went out of business because he couldn't compete with similar companies who were hiring illegal aliens. Or poor, innocent Helen who's on a fixed income and is afraid to go outside because of all the gangs in her neighborhood. Or poor, innocent Sarah, who got raped by an illegal. And on and on.
In 1992 Murphy Brown still had a sense of humor. She squared off with a `right wing talk show host’ (El Rushbo was hitting his stride that year) but by the end of the segment the liberal and conservative were holding hands.
She’s in her seventies, old & tired, just like me. But at least I’m not tiresome.

They forgot the first rule of modern hate liberalism. It’s “I’m better at leftism than you so I don’t even want to see your sorry attempt at it.”
With few exceptions that is the goal of cable tv including news broadcasts, public schools, Hollywood and the internet.
There aren’t enough liberals to who want to watch liberal crap to keep these shows alive. They already have more than they could ever want in what’s already on.
The used the modern journalism formula.
Amusing light hearted headline.
Then about half way into the article they begin trashing Trump or Republicans.
