One big difference for Pres.Trump is that HW was NOT captured!
According to the Media (FNC) both POTUS, Donald J. Trump & FLOTUS, Melania Trump have been invited to attend the funeral service for Ex-POTUS, George H.W. Bush and they have responded that they will be in attendance.
I am glad that the Trumps will be there. As an Ex- aviation maintenance career guy (VP, Maintenance & Engineering) before retiring, I have been during my career in one very serious in-flight operational problem, where a flight emergency on a B747 aircraft was declared right after take-off due to a massive hydraulic system failure.
The airplane had been in storage for two years, and had underwent a reactivation service for airworthiness. A landing gear retract actuator attaching rod end failed causing the hydraulic leak, just wear & tear and the gear was stuck in the mid position.
There were five of us on board, the Captain, The First Officer, The Chief Flight Engineer, My Director of Aircraft Maintenance and myself. All of us were very experienced...so there was really little panic, just avid discussion on our course of action. However, each us of was concerned. Bottom line, we landed the aircraft safely at our planned destination without incident.
I bring this story up because I can relate to that twenty (20) year old fighter/bomber pilot George H.W. Bush with his only engine on fatal fire and the thoughts going through his mind for his safety and life for himself and his two man crew. It must have been terrifying for him. Yet, he did what he had to do.
He was alone, the only capable, qualified airman flying this doomed aircraft. We had five “experts” and tons of time to determine our course of action. He was alone, calling all the shots in the middle of a war, where he knew the enemy would kill him immediately if he survived a crash landing. You all know the rest of this story.
The kid was an American hero, that later in life became the POTUS!!! I want him to be remembered for that, for it was the hand of God that kept him with us as he served our magnificent nation. This man...with his shortcomings that we all possess, will be honored, respected and adored by the American people.
I am certain that Bill Clinton & Barack Hussein Obama will never be held in nearly the same esteem that George H.W. Bush will be this week by the vast majority of the American people. Am glad the Trumps will be in attendance at his funeral ceremony next week. Praise the Lord, Almighty. U.S. Navy, Ensign, George H.W. Bush...RIP...forever in the heavenly paradise of our God, Lord Almighty...AMEN!!! You have served your country, nation & people well!!!
How arrogant. With the Left to skew the definition of Presidential to suit their ends and try to damage our President we need Freepers to get in the act?
POTUS wrote a very generous statement about Bush Sr and has canceled a press conference.
Why not leave the funeral arrangements to the family and not dictate from the sidelines. People like NoName and his family who use funerals to embarrass someone they envy and want to hurt abound in political circles. It will be the family's choice how to proceed. President Trump has given no one the right to suggest that he hasn't been fastidious in fulfilling his duties as President.
Oh come on! You seriously claim that? He was at one of his granddaugher’s wedding only about a month ago, or didn’t you notice? And how did a former president just visit him a few days ago?

He should also expect it to be a set up. Some globalist, nevertrumper, walk of shame.
These are the enemy.
This is a chance for Trump to make peace but not by forcing himself on them.

The Bushes love the Clintons, but hate the Trumps, and hated the Reagans. That is not logical according to what we know.
