Full title:

"Has Russia just put a secret weapon in orbit? New launch prompts security concerns after FIVE orbital bodies are propelled into space instead of four"

One wonders, but I don't think it's a "space weapon", even if we don't know what it is exactly.

We have a cooperative arrangement on the space station.

Knowing that the Russian space program has bee rife with failures over the years, my guess would be that the 5th object is something that wasn’t intended to go into orbit with the satellites. Like a piece of the satellite container or a chunk of rocket motor, etc.

Obama assured us that his mere Presence as president would both enable the United States to disarm and tame the Russian bear into peace loving teddy bears.

Since Obama was president for eight years, and it takes many years to develop weapons systems, the Russians are surely starting from a eight year hiatus in developing new weapons. The magic Negro’s mojo would certainly have caused that.

So this was just space debris.

Part of me wants to pound my chest and proclaim the superiority of all things American in technology and military might. The other part of me worries that American tech has been so compromised and that our military so preoccupied with social justice that we will easily fall prey to our enemies.

Either rocket's upper stage broke, or Russia had kept part of the launch secret

Rocket/missile stages are fairly sturdy mechanisms. They have to be to support the payload through all the Gs and aerodynamic pressure of boost. They aren't so fragile as to just "break" by accident.

Sure, small pieces may come off - part of the release mechanism for example. But this sounds like whatever has their attention is big enough to, well, get their attention. Probably not separation debris.

The Russians said “Hey just get it up there even if it falls apart”, that would give them an excuse to send some of our astronauts up there and fix their stuff.

Maybe Hillary Clinton paid someone under the table to sneak a big trash can of her lost damning emails onto the rocket.
