Ya, this song has been decreed verboten by the PC police.

Are we to shun Rod and Dolly for their participation in this abomination????

Too bad. The Left has become a bunch of fussbudgets (for those old enough to remember the wide use of the term from "Peanuts").

Bill Cosby Is to Blame for ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ Ban, Says Songwriter’s Daughter

https://www.thewrap.com/bill-cosby-to-blame-for-baby-its-cold-outside-ban-songwriter-daughter/

“Way before #MeToo, I would hear from time to time people call it a date rape song. I would get annoyed because it’s a song my father wrote for him and my mother to sing at parties. But ever since Cosby was accused of drugging women, I hear the date rape thing all the time.”

What about the power imbalance in "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus". If Mom doesn't kiss Santa, no presents for the kids.

But the filthiest rap music that objectifies women is NOT banned by liberals...

Pfffft.

Nice. I never cared much for Rod Stewart until he started singing the standards. Dolly Parton—always great.

Rod Stewart has such a raspy voice. I never understood his popularity. But he sure has been popular.

Love these duets with Dolly and her mentor Porter Wagoner.

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett sang it for a Barnes and Noble’s commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK2x_bnzwZU

She and Joseph Gordon sang it for a Mpupet’s show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtoW4aV-CIc Too sexy for a kids’ show, imo.

I have all 5 of his All American Standards play book cd’s. One thing I noticed is just about anyone can sing along to these standards of his. His voice is a little raspy at times but he doesn’t make those up and down musical notes. I know folks who went to his concerts in Vegas and the audience would sing along so much so that Rod would stop singing and let the audience finish the verse.

Bob Dylan inspired a whole bunch of other singer-songwriters who couldn’t actually sing.
