In a short a statement as I can make it: Western Civilization is committing collective suicide (and by extension these two sweet young SJW’s) because we have allowed ourselves to be manipulated without limit by societal guilt. Why is guilt such a powerful tool of manipulation in our advanced society? My theory is because we have rejected the atonement for our sins through Christ. Consequently we have an unrelenting sense of guilt that can never be resolved. There is no length we can go to that will serve as a propitiation for the wrongs in our own hearts, both because of original sin and our own prior conduct.

They are just a symptom. A product, if you will, of a system run by, for and of idiots with no concept of actual relation of cause to effect over time.

The girls died of a case of terminal stupidity. We might regret their deaths at a young age, but unfortunately, there isn’t an easy cure for what ailed them.

I'd take it back one step further and say it is simply the default state of humanity in places where the hard work of civilization has not been completed. There are different civilizations in the world, and they sometimes have competing values. But the difference between them and un-civilizations is stark and obvious.

Heck I’m careful about where and when I go in my own community here let alone go to an African nation for a sleep over on a hillside full of savages!

The past 60 years or so has seen an intense and longstanding assault on Christianity. There is a much stronger assosciation between Christianity and Democracy and pluralism.
Control of mass media has been monopolized by a tribe who wants us to Go Away. Not just go somewhere else, mind you, but TO DIE, to die out completely.
This mass media tribe regards “Whiteness” as a form of original sin; in that respect it is a type of religion which has commandments —of sorts— and a type of clergy.
We are encouraged to act as missionaries abroad, the better to expiate our Whiteness Sins and take an active part in speeding our own downfall, thereby clearing the way for total control by this small clutch of people who can rule in perpetuity from behind high walls, with elections largely relegated to window dressing, no hard questions asked.
People who go abroad to dangerous places see themselves as performing a kind of nobel, Diversity-centric, Whiteness Penance.
Getting scammed a little abroad or putting up with a temporary intestinal parasite is seen as “keeping it real”, but showing sincerity in their penance.
And this all forms a type of substitute for Christianity or, more broadly, SOME type of real religion.
I’m sorry they died, steeped in the theory that their beliefs in Social Justice would protect them in the real world against 3rd world villains whose religion sanctifies rape and murder of infidels.
They might as well have trekked through the Serengeti plains expecting a pass from all the lions and leopards.
