A couple of comments below the article...don’t know if true or not:

This was an optional lecture. Other incidents, including getting the cops called on him at the library for erratic behavior, occurred between the lecture and the subsequent email. He also doxxed the members of the committee on 4chan.

this kid is not suspended purely for the microaggression conversation. He has made many comments and remarks/threats this fall that were reported and has even been previously held back. he has a history. guy is weird.

Thanks for the additional background info, however the two comments are frustratingly lacking in details.
ggd51d basically says the accused is weird, and he (ggd51d) knows of other secret, unreported, stuff that shows the accused got what he deserved....okaay...
OrangeHammer22h also throws out innuendos without details. Except for the doxxing accusation - which apparently occurred after his suspension verdict. I know we are supposed to leave vengeance to the Lord, but if you think you have been unjustly treated it takes a strong man (and with eyes focused on Christ) not to retaliate.
Maybe the accused got what he deserved, but I didnt see it from the article or two comments (by OrangeHammer and ggd51d).
The replier cites the fact that the lecture was OPTIONAL as a mitigating factor:
I don’t get that. He voluntarily CHOSE to attend that lecture, ergo he was honor bound to ask no questions..? He SHOULD have agreed with everything, since he didn’t have to be there..?
I don’t follow that logic at all.
And there’s more:
“He acted ERRATICALLY at the library..?” So...he asked —AXED, sorry!— where the card catalogue was, maybe..?
At this school, any type of whacko reasoning seems possible.
Hey how many times do cops say, “Hey if you’re not doing anything WRONG, you shouldn’t mind if we FILM, right?” And they will cite that same reasoning if they audio recording you.
Yet when Keiran snaps their photo or records them, they get all ticked off.
Doesn’t that same reasoning mean the COMMITTEE was doing something wrong..?
It sounds like UVA’s problem with “erratic, weird” Kieran is that he takes his education seriously, that he takes IDEAS seriously, that he values reason and disagreeing agreeably.
KIERAN is the professor here, not UVA.
UVA needs to learn at Kieran’s knee. They owe him serious CA$H.
STAY “WEIRD”, KIERAN..!!!
He neeeds to contact Dinesh D’Souza and get HIM to ask UVA a question or two, maybe make a little FILM out of it.
