Well Harley-Davidson has gone Green and will start selling a Electric Powered Motorcycle.
It will go a whopping 110 miles on a full charge and sell for approximately $30,000. Who is in for one?
I personally think they are making a huge mistake going this route. 110 Miles on a charge is not very far compared to the gasoline engine that will give you several hundred miles on a tank.
For that kind of money it's just too expensive and I predict a flop. Any comments?????????????

I don’t remember getting several hundred miles per tank on my Dyna...anyway, I see nothing wrong with it other than the price point. $30k is a ton of money for an electric scooter.

My Suzuki S40 has a small tank and gets about 120 before reserve. It also takes me 5 minutes to fill it.
Unlike cagers, we riders like to know there is an engine underneath us.
For $30K I could put several more very nice bikes in my garage. Except my wife won’t let me park her car outside to make room for them LOL.

I was thinking an electric vehicle and night vision goggles would be great for some kind of stealth operation when I was watching “Escaping Polygamy.”

"...electric motorcycle..."
If they can extend the range to 300+ miles they will perhaps have a retail hit on their hands.
Electric motors have tons of torque and it will lead to very fast motorcycles with tremendous acceleration.
The capability to speak between pilot and passenger without intercoms or screaming will not go unnoticed.

It’s not a terrible idea to do an electric Harley. Why not? But with a modest range and priced at 30k, this is a luxury toy for a very limited market. Hard to imagine it moving the needle much for H-D’s overall sales.

Girlie Davidson. My how nice things have sunk to the bottom.I wonder if they have a special “My Little Pony” bike now.
