As far as we know, only machines could last the time it would take travel interstellar...
As far as we know.
And thats the rub, now isnt it? We are operating on the assumption that our current model of physics is all there is and its inviolate. And perhaps it is. Then again....
“As far as we know, only machines could last the time it would take travel interstellar... “
That’s where I’m at. Certainly the odds of a UFO based on a probe is much higher than one involving alien life.
I believe the distances are so great that alien life generally stays within their star system. It is less resource intensive to modify what’s needed within a star system than to attempt to migrate to another star system. However they may send probes. The probes may still be quite dangerous depending on how these aliens think.
I also think the probability of alien life moving from one galaxy to another is about zero.
There is evidence that zero point propulsion could work which basically means the faster you go, the faster you can go with no gravity penalty for the occupants of a ship.
And whatever DNA they had in cryogenic lead containers. Or perhaps the AI machines can print DNA based on blueprints the originator species stored in the AI memory with nano scale printers. Von Neumann machines are something we may soon be capable of building. Our species may not be around on Earth by the time the first of them reach other stars, but an element of humanity will persist.
Unless someone can demonstrate a realistic theory of hyper drive, or traveling through wormholes automagically, Von Neumann type probes represent the most realistic means of interstellar exploration/colonization from an Extra-terrestrial hypothesis angle as it relates to UFOs.
The inter dimensional/demonic hypothesis requires no interstellar travel, only the ability to manipulate human perception. The problem with this theory is that decidedly non-human perception based physical effects seem to have been recorded on radar/film/alleged landing sites.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that both may be in play. I can only rely on the anecdotal evidence of my own eyes in the wake of a daylight disc sighting (guesstimate around 2000 feet in altitude) and another night time sighting of a low flying, structured disc (guesstimate traveling from below my hilltop position to around 1000 feet straight over my head) .
That being said, pretty much 99.99999% of the video you see on Youtube is either fabricated or a bird.
I pretty much only believe fellow pilots.
As far as we know.
I think it's mighty arrogant and narrow minded of us to believe that no other race of beings could have cracked the code to faster than light travel.
In my mind, the unimaginable vastness of our universe, with its countless trillions of stars, argues in favor of many extraterrestrial cultures possessing technologies superior to our own.
