What VPN do lots of freepers recommend?

I want to use it at places like Starbucks.

Will use of a VPN slow me down..?

I don't simply want to get the one Rush advertizes, though I love Rush.

Express VPN

I use lots. Doesn’t slow me down. Good choice of connections. Reasonably priced.

Oh, and whatever you do, do not use a free VPN. Free means you are the product.

Opera has a built-in VPN.

Best part is it’s free.

PIA has been court-tested.

Their logs were subpoenaed for a trial and they replied that they have no logs. That stopped the trial dead in it’s tracks.

Best part is it’s free.

Ain't nothing free. If something free, you're the product. The question is: who's the customer?

PIA is my choice and it has never failed me, pricing is right and comments from others are all consistently good.

VPN has gotten very cheap these days. Paid in advance 30-40 dollars yearly. Not all are torr_ent friendly. So chose wisely. I use no VPN

Will use of a VPN slow me down..?

I don't see any noticeable system performance slow down on my desktop or Android phone (I use PIA VPN). But you should know it will somewhat tax your battery charge on your smartphones or laptops. Lots of number crunching going on as the VPN encrypts and decrypts.

Opera got bought by the Chicoms a couple of years ago. May be that answers the question who is the customer.
