The problem at many fast food restaurants is this:

1. Drive thru customers get first priority

2. Call in orders (grubhub) get top priority

3. Walk in customers get last priority.

This is the same at virtually every fast food restaurant.

As an experiment I went to a fast food restaurant and was told this. There was a long line. I called while in the store and placed my order. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I then went up 8 minutes later to pick-up, and they already had it for me. The throng was pissed. So I told them what I did. Immediately, people were calling in their orders, I just walked back to my car.

This can be avoided in several possible ways.

1. Separate personnel handle only drive thru, and help out when the drive thru is clear.
2. Separate personnel handle call in, and help out when there is not call in activity.
3. The lions share of personnel help walk-ins, there is no wait for other people.

If they do this, everyone gets served equally, with minimum wait times IMO.

Best idea: STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD DUMPS.
