On March 13, House and Senate Democrats introduced H.R. 5, the Equality Act, a proposal to expand protections in the 1964 Civil Rights Act to people based on their sex, sexual preference or gender identity.

The sponsor of the bill, Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.), who is openly gay, said conservatives would "use fear” to stop the legislation and asserted, “we cannot allow claims of religious freedom to be used to discriminate against an LGBT individual.”

At a Capitol Hill press conference alongside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Cicilline said, “We know that in the weeks ahead, conservatives will do everything they can to kill this bill and block progress once again.” […]

Commenting further, Rep. Cicilline said, “We cannot allow claims of religious freedom to be used to discriminate against an LGBT individual. Today in public law, you can’t use religious freedom to discriminate against a biracial couple, a Jew, or a woman, for example. The same must be true when it comes to sexual orientation or gender identity.” …

Maybe they can get some of the muslims in the House to co-sponser this bill, as a sign of solidarity and unity, say Ilhan Omar.

LBGXYZ is an ACTIVITY not a person. Hell will freeze before I will let people who DEFINE themselves by what they do with their crotch circumscribed my religion. If they want War they’ll get it. I’m getting sick to death of these obsessive freaks. I have never thought their sex lives were any of my business but if they insist on making it my business they’re not going to like it...

Sodomy does not get to trample OUR religious rights, Mr. Cicilline.

The whole “ghey ‘rights’” thing was always about them making it our business.

There’s a reason why the comparison to Sodom is made in Luke 17:28-29.

OTOH: We can’t let the LGBT discriminate against religious freedom. I don’t need sexual deviants shoving their perverted lifestyle down my throat. I don’t like advertisers doing it either. I conduct my own personal banzai boycott whenever I see it.

Buttwad Cicilline simply doesn’t get that most people won’t stand for some mouth frothing crazy lefty politician telling us we’ve got to do anything whatsoever and most people would remain skeptical if he tried to argue that the sun does indeed rise in the East.

In the end, their freedom will be defined by you disavowing your faith in God and bowing to their false ones.

Rep. Cicilline: We Can’t Allow ‘Religious Freedom’ to Be Used to Discriminate Against LGBT

Perversion needs to be outlawed! Nation and empires that embraced homosexuality - came down. Sin is a reproach to any nation! God is not mocked.

Mr. Cicilline - the Constitution has no provision for perverts. However, it does for Christians.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

But it is OK for LGBT to discriminate against those who are religious?

...“we cannot allow claims of religious freedom to be used to discriminate against an LGBT individual.”

Okay, how about we use turpitude/moral turpitude to oppose it.
Turpitude means a corrupt or depraved or degenerate act or practice.
Moral turpitude refers generally to conduct that shocks the public conscience.

Can we do that? That's not discrimination.
Or has that whole concept been pushed out of the minds of Americans?

How can someone who thinks they’re a woman one day, man the next and no sex on another day be compared to someone who is African American every day.
We don’t discriminate based on race because you can’t change your race.

These people are insane.

"...Cicilline called upon lawmakers to pass the bill to protect LGBT individuals against discrimination. “In most states in this country, a gay couple can be married on Saturday, post their wedding photos to Instagram on Sunday, and lose their jobs or get kicked out of their apartments on Monday just because of who they are. This is wrong,” he said."

What a load of bull pucky.

"The bill states that it is designed “to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and for other purposes.”

It's always the "other purposes" that makes it toxic to civil society.

What two consenting adults chose to do behind closed doors is none of my business. When they force me to acknowledge them as "special" in public, when they force their notions upon my children, then it becomes my business.

Certainly out of the minds of liberal Americans, if it was even there to begin with. Moral relativism and all.

Certainly shows their race hatred, with their false comparisons between race and perverted sexuality and/or “gender identity”. They have no qualms about engaging in such abuses.

The “none of my business” view of such behavior is the slippery slope towards the “special in public” (i.e. their being “more equal than others”) epoch. Like it or not, such behavior even “sub rosa” incurs wrath from above.
