Not wild about it.
That is a pretty cool looking car - especially in 1939.
I find it ironic they made pretty crappy tanks for the Germans in WWII. I guess some engineering doesn’t transfer...
You may be interested in this documentary. It’s titled “Hitler’s American Business Partners.”

If Jon Voight didn’t own it, not interested.
Porche made panzer tank turrets in WWII.
Looks like a bad bondo job on that front wheel cover.....
Very art deco.
Ping.
Too expensive;)
I stopped by the Ford Dealership yesterday in San Antonio, Texas for a look at the new 2019 F-150..
Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that new truck “feel” before I get too old. The salesperson (a nice looking lady wearing
a ‘RESIST’ lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat next to me, describing the truck and all its “wonderful” options.
The seats were of particular interest. She explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat. Feeling like messing with her, I mentioned that this must be a Republican truck.
Looking a bit angry, she asked why I thought it was a Republican truck. “I explained that if it were a Democrat truck, the seats would just blow smoke up your a** year-round!”
I had to walk back to the dealership but it was worth it.
The quintessentially Teutonic sports car. Surpassing even the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.
That’s a lot for an old car, where are you going to get it repaire?
Parts and labor will be astronomical if you want original factory equipment
Wonder why the current pictures show left hand drive while the historical pictures show right hand drive?
Oh well, as long as it is completely authentic.
Looks like the same design elements of a little jet.
Years ago I owned a 1965 356C coupe for awhile. It was grey with green vinyl interior. I imagine that if I did a hit of acid, my 356 might begin to look like that one.
Sorry, mein freunde. The Berlin-Rome race has been called off because, well... We’ve decided to invade Poland.
Next year? Berlin-Moscow, via Warsaw!
Have fun trying to get parts for it at Auto Zone.
I thought the oldest Porsche was from c. 1898?
