In November 2018 The Guardian reported on group of Google employees published an open letter on Tuesday calling on their employer to cancel its plans to build a censored search engine for China, the latest expression of worker unrest at a company that earlier this month saw thousands stage walkouts over its handling of sexual misconduct cases. The Google employees were very upset that Google’s Project Dragonfly would allow the Chinese government to blacklist certain search terms. The employees said, “Many of us accepted employment at Google with the company’s values in mind… After a year of disappointments … we no longer believe this is the case.”

Obviously, Facebook and Google’s participation in the Chinese social credit score plan is not about China.
There is no Western country where people in power will be able to resist “voluntary” participation in this scheme. Right now, this is being deployed only to find out who is a “Nazi”.
But that is just the beginning.
What dystopic vision are these people striving for? Or is it the good old Freudian death instinct?
I remember thinking naively some years ago, how great a liberating factor the internet would be on places like China, didn’t occur that the totalitarians would use it on America.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s out there. When the sites begin getting traction, then hosting becomes the target. Got hosts? Well, you can’t monetize or even sell products because of banks. No online payments are accepted. Credit cards no longer accepted.
So someone creates alternatives. Hey: that concentrates the target and who cares if we all talk to each other? The true believers will never even log in to conservative platforms and conservatives will be isolated before being eliminated.
See where that goes? No banking. Then no air travel. Then no home ownership.Then no car ownership. No gas purchases. No utilities available. No healthcare available. Then no employment. Nothing at all sold to anyone who opposes the government, anywhere. No one who is in opposition can ever sell anything. Finally: there are no conservatives, there is no opposition and the boot descends onto the face of everyone.
Worse: enough people like it and they open the border to the rest of those who like it and freedom vanishes forever from the entire planet.
Who needs concentration camps? This is way more efficient.
This is only going to be solved by rule of law and from what I can see, that is the route being taken. First step: gathering evidence. White House is on this already.
This is America. We have a Bill of Rights. We are guaranteed freedom of speech by our government. WE are our government.
This will be done by law and meanwhile, I expect the authoritarians to squeeze harder and harder until the entire world demands their platforms be regulated, if not completely broken up so they cannot ever do this again.
And if they refuse? Imagine a planet-wide civil war. Remember: they don’t really hate weapons. They hate OUR weapons. All the *hate speech* and *patriarchy* accusations? Pure projection. They want US in chains so we can be eliminated with less muss and fuss.
These tyrannical authoritarians are going after the bedrock of the Constitution and if they are not stopped cold, it is really all over.
The only positive thing that has come out of the entire plot that was supposed to be the result of zer0 & friends & their international counterparts keeping power over us forever and eliminating us completely is that the stakes are high enough that they kept doubling and tripling and quadrupling down until only a blind, deaf, cognitively-impaired infant could continue denying that there even was a plot. Had they continued in stealth mode, it would have succeeded.
I agree with your post. It is my belief that nothing President Trump can accomplish will have any meaning whatsoever if we fail to prosecute the criminals of the obama administration. Many people must end up in prison for their crimes. If they do not then it will only be a short time before they are back in total power and this time they will make sure there is never another DJT. If we fail to prosecute these traitors I feel the country is headed for violent war with 100 percent certainty. America cannot be made great again until the rule of law is applied to all those who have participated in this evil plot.
“Google” and “company values” do not belong in the same sentence unless by “company values” one means “profit from stealing the user’s private information and selling it”.
