That’s what I love about Florida...although once upon a time, before the courts got involved, it was practically overnight and we didn’t have to keep them for decades.

It would have been nice if he’d said “I’m sorry,” but they don’t seem to do that now. That’s because neither the criminals nor the state or the Church believes in Hell anymore. But if he didn’t repent, he’ll be there. Only God knows.

Back when Florida still had Old Sparky, there was an execution scheduled, and I was in a class that day.

Right at the time of the scheduled execution, one of the students went and flickered the lights, everybody cracked up laughing, even the teacher.

It was a different time.
