The Theory of Evolution is entirely compatible with Christianity.

“The priest who said that.”
He wasn’t wrong when he was joking that he said talked to the dead Darwin or he wasn’t wrong when he said he was joking about talking to the dead Darwin?

Rather, evolution has nothing to do with Christianity, other than dictating to God how He cannot create life. It must be in a particular way that is also not mentioned in the Bible, such as an instantaneous rearrangement of atoms similar to a Star Trek replicator. A flash of light and puff of smoke might also add emphasis.
I pretty much find that creationists simply don't understand the theory, and all their counter arguments are from a standpoint of incorrect assumptions. Here is how I reconcile it with the Bible, however, with God raising man from the "dust of the Earth":
Through generations of passing on mutations that are either beneficial or detrimental to survival, evolution endows a species with abilities to cope with its environment, and nothing more. So how does that explain humans? How does the ability to build cities, computers, and space shuttles help us to survive our environment? Evolution cannot explain it, or provide for it. The 2nd most intelligent animal on Earth, the ape, is nowhere near the level of humans. The smartest one in history would utterly fail a class for kindergarteners. So there is something that evolution cannot fully explain: ourselves.

He did repent, but only after his life was threatened. This was outlined in a book called “The Recant or Bury Tales”.
(thank you very much!)

Evolution does not address the origin of life. You know that, I think.
Evolution is perfectly compatible with Christianity.

He wasn’t wrong when he said I believe that a lack of humor is the beginning of an emotional disability.

Not evolution per se, but there are theories for spontaneous creation of life as well. But only as self-replicating amino acids, not whole rabbits and monkeys. Evolution is still needed for that.

You are correct. Darwin's big contribution was he claimed our origins rest in Africa.
Jean-Baptiste Lamarck never made that claim(and others before him).
