Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) signed legislation ensuring state schools teach the role and contributions of LGBT people in American history.
Pritzker signed off on House Bill 346, which was recently passed by state House earlier this year, on Friday.
The law requires all schools in the state include "the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State" in official textbooks.

Spanish Persons
Italian Persons

ect,
ectt ad infinitum
So why not all those others?
Because they only deserve a mention if there is something otherwise noteworthy about them, unlike LGBT persons who are to get a mention just because they are/were LGBT persons.
WTF, why does it need to be broadcasted, who cares what type of sex they want? If X is straight or Gay, look at his accomplishments, that is what is important not what he does in the Bedroom. Remaining quiet about it, and giving in to it has gave us this new world we are experiencing today. Being straight today is being weird. Now we have another card in the deck, its called the Gay card? I’m sure there will be more cards coming. Everyone with have a card soon.
