If this works I will be interested to see who protests. I believe the ‘clean-energy’ crowd is about everything but clean energy. This technology could do away with fossil fuel and electric energy in a single day.

This technology could do away with fossil fuel and electric energy in a single day. No, you do not have a good understanding of how this form of energy would be used. This process would be harnessed by using the heat from fusion to power “steam turbines” connected to electrical generators.

In the event of a runaway reaction the amount of fuel is quite small and the fuel does not want to burn naturally. A distance of 2 city blocks would be enough buffer in the event of an explosion.
You have mush more to fear from a natural gas pipleine than this scientific endeavor.
